What the role involves
- Building and tuning detection, monitoring and response capability
- Securing cloud infrastructure and the pipelines that deploy to it
- Working with engineering teams rather than auditing them from a distance
- Responding to live incidents and improving what let them happen
What we look for
- Practitioner depth in a defined area rather than broad familiarity
- Engineering ability, since most modern security work is building things
- Evidence of improving a security posture measurably
- Clarity about which part of security you actually want to work in
